Product Software Engineer - Sr. Software Test Engineer

Job location: Minneapolis, Minnesota

Job description:

Capgemini is in search of a highly skilled and motivated Product Software Engineer - Sr. Software Test Engineer to become a valued member of our extraordinary engineering team. Your contribution will be crucial in ensuring the detailed quality of our software systems for projects related to medical capital equipment development. This opportunity provides an excellent platform to work with a globally distributed team and make significant contributions to the development, verification, and release of advanced products.

Responsibilities:

· Actively collaborate within a team of Product Software Verification Engineers.

· Validate product software requirements, security requirements, and compliances.

· Develop and implement Design Verification Plan, Protocols, and Reports for software testing.

· Collaborate with different teams involved in software development, verification, and quality assurance/regulatory affairs.

· Review design, development, and testing of software used in medical device product lines.

· Support Automated Test Equipment validation activities.

· Contribute to software-related CAPA.

Requirements:

· 3-8 years of experience in testing and tool development of software for medical capital equipment development, with at least 2 years in medical devices.

· Hands-on experience in manual testing, including understanding product requirements, risk assessment, protocol creation, execution, and reporting.

· Experience with Jira, JAMA & product lifecycle management tool e.g., Windchill

· Experience with automated testing of medical devices to functional requirements.

· Proficiency in Python scripting language or other scripting languages.

· Strong working experience in Linux and Win OS.

· Experience in system testing.

· Strong written and verbal communication, judgment, decision-making, and critical thinking skills.

· Ability to work independently or within project teams with general guidance in a global delivery model.

· Strong analytical skills.

Nice to have:

· Background in hardware (added advantage).

· Experience with using test frameworks to generate events to the system under test.

· Experience with analyzing requirements to develop automated test protocols.

· Experience with batch testing to run automatic test cases in a regression format.
