Job Description Summary of Position A national leader in the Collegiate Recovery Movement, the StepUP Program helps students champion lives of recovery, achieve academic success, and thrive in a community of accountability and support. Founded in 1997, the StepUP Program remains the largest residential collegiate community of sober students in the nation. The Recruitment and Outreach Coordinator will be responsible for working with the program director and Admissions to develop and execute the recruitment strategy to increase enrollment in the StepUP program. The position will develop and manage recruiting pipelines within the recovery community, local high schools, and community colleges. The position will have accountability for meeting enrollment and occupancy targets in the StepUP program. The position will work with the program director and stakeholders in Admissions to maintain existing and develop new referral sources to increase enrollment in StepUP. The Recruitment and Outreach Coordinator will be a liaison to treatment centers and other communities of recovery. The position will partner with the program director and Dean of Students to develop potential partnerships with local colleges and universities to provide services and residential recovery community access to additional students. Primary Responsibilities Assist in the development and execution of a recruitment strategy to increase program enrollment. Develop and manage recruiting pipelines within the recovery community, acting as the liaison between the program and recovery programs, high schools, and other referral and recruitment sources. Meet enrollment and recruiting targets. Partner with Admissions to provide a seamless recruitment and matriculation into the Augsburg StepUP program. Assist in the development and implementationof a communication strategy utilizing in-person and multimedia-based communication techniques to continuously strengthen engagement with referral relationships. Integrate information obtained from treatment centers and communities of recovery into new and innovative outreach practices and analyze data from the client relationship management system to identify and cultivate contacts who serve as or become a pipeline for enrollment. Represent the StepUP Program at high schools, community colleges, and other organizations off campus locally, regionally, and nationally to increase awareness and generate interest among prospective students and families. Partner with key campus stakeholders to identify and develop potential partnerships to leverage the StepUP program and recovery residence hall for non-Augsburg students. Additional Responsibilities Meet or exceed outreach admissions goals through successful referral relationship development, student recruitment and task management. Facilitate tours and informational sessions for potential students and referral partners intere ted in StepUP. Frequent local, regional, and national travel to accomplish outreach and recruitment goals. All other duties as apparent or assigned by supervisor(s). Work Environment and Physical Demands Typical work environment is an office. Sedentary work for long periods of time. Regular computer and phone use. Occasional evening and weekend work responsibilities. Frequent local, regional, and national travel. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, social work, counseling, higher education, or similar field. Two (2) years of experience working as an outreach coordinator in the mental health and/or substance use disorder field. Demonstrated knowledge of the substance use disorder treatment field. Preferred Qualifications Demonstrated relationships within the local recovery community. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Ability to work effectively in a team environment, and work independently with little supervision. Able to show initiative; organize workflow; manage multiple projects; and handle frequent interruptions. Ability to reason/analyze; maintain confidentiality; and demonstrate patience and understanding.
