Stratacor Sales and Account Management Intern in Minneapolis, Minnesota

As a Sales & Account Management Intern at Delta Dental of Minnesota, you will gain an understanding of the dental insurance benefits industry and the distribution models for dental products and in-house services. The internships will provide exposure and comprehension of the business-to-business sales and client services functions, from initial prospect to close of sale, and experience of the implementation process and ongoing client services activities. The Sales and Account Management Intern will complete a rotation through our revenue teams (Individual & Family, Small Business, Large Business, Government), partnering internally to learn, assess, create/develop process efficiency or solutions or assets. In collaboration with key department resources and across the company, the Sales and Account Management Intern will help us partner with brokers, clients, members, and third parties to provide direct and positive impacts on the growth and strategy of our sales and account management departments. In addition, you will also have ample opportunities to interact with executive leadership. Internship Term: Summer 2024; 29.5 hours/week; On-site ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Account Management and Client Services Support 1. Assisting client-facing projects and deliverables 2. Research benefit, claims, enrollment inquiries 3. Analyze data, compile records, and prepare reports 4. Assist in preparing analysis or financial exhibits 5. Standard report generation 6. Assist staff maintaining inventory and distribution of promotional items Sales and Sales Support 1. Shadow Sales team members to bolster understanding of sales process 2. Experience and support the Request for Proposal (RFP) process 3. Inbound/Outbound call support 4. Perform market research and competitive analysis, present to leadership 5. Execute projects to promote, grow, and generate sales Additional Responsibilities 1. Participate in various external client-facing events and presentations 2. Work closely with account management and sales teams to develop outbound marketing campaigns and assets through various communication channels 3. Assist with special initiatives to current clients, brokers, and prospects 4. Support the maintenance of our SalesForce database per Sales/Account Management/Client Services direction; Update and ensure accurate information 5. Represent the department throughout the organization in a positive manner 6. Other duties as assigned
