The University of Minnesota Press seeks a motivated, highly organized individual who can move fluidly between tasks to work in the fast-paced book publishing business office. This position provides financial and administrative support to U Press staff, works with the OVPR Cluster to process all payables and vendor contracts, and supports the work of the staff Accountant and Business Office manager. FINANCIAL AND DOCUMENT PROCESSING (50%): Create requisitions, Contracts for Professional Services, and journal entries per University and U Press policies and standards. Process invoices, travel & expense reimbursements, and departmental deposits per University and U Press policies and standards. FINANCIAL ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT (25%): Assist Procurement Specialist with vendor maintenance. Update the weekly inventory report, update stock releases in database, and notify appropriate staff. OFFICE SUPPORT/SPECIAL PROJECTS (25%): Create invoices as directed. Update various U Press databases, as directed. Assist with subsidiary rights and ebook royalties data processing, as directed. Assist in annual royalty payments processing. Reconcile exhibits orders. Filing as needed for the Business Office. Back up front desk duties in absence of Administrative Assistant. Assist Accountant as needed. Other projects as assigned.
