Insight Global Senior Network Administrator in Mississauga, Ontario

Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a seasoned Sr. Network Administrator to join one our higher education clients. In this role, you will be tasked with crafting and refining a robust architectural framework for secure, campus-wide systems. Your expertise will be crucial in diagnosing and resolving intricate network protocol issues and in strategizing enhancements for our network and internet infrastructure. You will spearhead the expansion of our network, outline and manage significant projects with enduring impact, and act as a guiding authority within a specialized team of experts, shaping the future of our campus's technological framework.

Skills and Requirements

* A bachelor's degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent blend of education and experience.

* 6+ years of experience as a Network Administrator within a campus network setting.

* Profound knowledge of Routing Protocols such as OSPF, BGP, and VxLAN.

* Proficiency in automation tools like Ansible, Terraform, etc.

* A solid understanding of wireless technologies and cabling systems.

* Innovative design and architectural skills.

* Strong communication skills, capable of articulating complex technical ideas to audiences without a technical background.

* Proficiency in managing legacy technologies and transitioning to modern solutions. * Familiarity with ITIL principles is a plus.

* Prior experience with MPLS is highly advantageous.

* Knowledge Firewalls is considered a plus. null
