This role in summary

Whirlpool is seeking qualified candidates for the role of Specialist, Supply & Logistics . This role will be onsite at our Whirlpool Canada Central Ad Cntr facility. This individual is responsible for the day to day planning and successful execution of all direct to site Builder and Home deliveries across Canada. This includes but is not limited to daily interaction with Builder and 3rd Party partners to ensure understanding of requirements, appointment confirmations and order statuses are understood and completed.

In this role you will also be involved in the development of processes and metrics to support continuous improvement.

Your responsibilities will include

  • Manage Builder & Home Delivery requirements on a daily basis ensuring sufficient capacity and adherence to customer/ site requirements

  • Build and develop positive working relationships with all Local Distribution Centers, (LDC) and external partners

  • Develop Standard Operating Procedures, (SOP) and training to support day to day delivery processes

  • Obtain and manage deliver quotes as required

  • Ensure completion and accuracy of delivery status updates

  • Review routing metrics and continuously improve

  • Assist in the implementation of metrics into SAP/BW and Tableau

  • Utilize Route Planner by Descartes to determine route efficiency

  • Answer capacity and delivery questions for our process partners

  • General support for all customer inquiries around delivery confirmation, product returns and site/customer requirements

  • Troubleshoot appointment issues and conduct root cause analysis

  • Collaborate with Customer Service in regards to delivery escalations

  • Analyze exception billing by Local Distribution Center and work with cross functional 3rd Party Partners to validate occurrences

  • Review and analyze post-delivery survey results and support reporting of Key Performance Indicators, (KPI)

Minimum requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • 2+ years’ experience in an Administrative or Coordination role

  • 2+ years’ experience in Transportation or Supply Chain

Preferred skills and experiences

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or Supply Chain

  • Experience in solving practical issues and engaging cross-functional teams to reach consensus

  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks, and meet defined deadlines

  • Excellent organization and time management skills

  • Self-driven and motivated

  • Customer centric thinker

  • Quick learner

  • Descartes Route Planner experience preferred, but not mandatory
