Department Overview The Infectious Disease and Immunology department provides services relating to the diagnosis and treatment of all acute, chronic, and recurrent infectious diseases. They also provide vacination inforamtion, professional consultation, clinical support for community providers, and various educational and outreach programs. Position Summary Responsible for administrative support to the Minnesota HIV Perinatal & Pediatric Program, functions as a member of the patient care team and coordinates the efforts of program staff. This position partners with the Program's Clinical Director, Clinic Manager of Medical Specialties and other managers as appropriate and is responsible for providing leadership, assuring excellent patient care, customer satisfaction and clinical outcomes. This position is responsible for staff management, mandatory reporting to state, county, and federal funders, and sustaining and pursuing funding opportunities. This position is grant-funded and dependent on continued funding. License/Certification/Registration required? No Required: *BA/BS Degree in healthcare, business, nursing or related field *Knowledge, skills and abilities including: -Driving the execution of strategic priorities -Inspiring & empowering others -Fostering open dialogue & teamwork, building relationships -Strong organizational, analytical, communication & interpersonal skills Preferred: *Master's degree in social work, psychology, human services or a related field *3+ years of management experience in the healthcare industry *Previous experience in managing staff *Experience working in ambulatory clinics *Experience in pediatrics and designated specialty (if applicable) *Experience working with HIV, Ryan White or other federally funded programs strongly preferred *Experience in the delivery of services to patients with chronic illness, preferably HIV *Experience working with multidisciplinary teams strongly preferred *Experience working with diverse populations (racial, ethnic, socioeconomic status, LGBTQ) strongly preferred Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: *Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills -Proven critical thinking and problem-solving abilities, including resolving complex problems requiring innovative solutions -Experience managing a P&L and budgeting *Demonstrated leadership abilities, including collaboration, conflict resolution, consensus building, team building, personnel management, coaching and mentoring *Demonstrated ability to work autonomously in ambiguous situations, establishing priorities meeting deadlines and maintaining effective caseload management *Demonstrated knowledge of HIV disease and developmentally appropriate treatment for the target population *Skilled in client engagement, advocacy for individuals with/in bureaucracy, care development, service coordination, crisis intervention, complex medical discharge and placement planning and de ling with difficult issues sensitively *Knowledge of diversity issues, grief and loss, psychosocial implications of debilitation and death, parenting, chemical dependency, mental health, child/adolescent development, social service, economic, legal and medical systems, HIV transmission, health, safety, behavioral and emotional implications of HIV/AIDS diagnosis and safer sex practices *Demonstrated ability to provide services in a non-judgmental, culturally sensitive manner Physical Demands Please click here to view the Physical Demands The posted pay range represents rates for a grouping of multiple jobs within a salary grade. We carefully consider a wide range of factors including but not limited to market indicators for the specific role, the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate, and organizational needs. Base pay is just one piece of the total rewards program offered by Children's Minnesota.
