This is a specialized role which requires physical interaction with hardware equipment in a simulated data center environment, utilizing Google labs, power, and safety equipment. Regular development and processing of engineering hardware must be performed on site.

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

• 3 years of experience designing and testing multiple subsystems and systems (e.g., software, robotics algorithms, electrical systems, mechanical systems, control systems).

• 3 years of experience with industrial electrical control system components and system design, and regional industrial and safety standards (e.g. ISO, NFPA, RIA, ANSI, ETC).

Preferred qualifications:

• 3 years of experience with the process of developing products, including identifying issues and considerations for delivering a product.

• Experience designing and testing multiple subsystems and systems (e.g. software, robotics algorithms, electrical systems, mechanical systems, control systems).

Our team is a rapid iteration group focused on defining and stewarding automation standards for Google, designing, building, and deploying the right amount of automation capability for our partner teams, and providing engineering experience and leadership when developing future roadmaps toward optimal use of automation throughout the manufacturing, supply chain, and data center facilities that support Google as it scales the fleet.

In this role, you will support the implementation and operation of automated systems within the data center. You will work under the guidance of engineers, focusing on tasks, data collection, and process documentation.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $102,000-$150,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. • Support the review of supplier documentation and participate in design reviews as needed.

• Support engineers in process improvement initiatives.

• Drive vendor quality initiatives.

• Assist in performing basic measurement system analysis (MSA) and Gage Roles and Responsibilities studies under supervision.

• Create and maintain detailed documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.
