DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: The SSG Process Development team is looking to add an expert level research chemist to the dynamic group. Your principal responsibility is developing robust synthesis and purification methods for novel OLED emitters. You will sit onsite at our Monreoville, PA R&D Center and report to the Group Leader.

Key Responsibilities * Develop scalable processes for OLED emitters that are reproducible and cost effective through a thorough scientific approach. * Independently design and conduct chemistry experiments using modern synthetic strategies * Evaluate the synthesis for new emitters as they are identified. Provide samples using a commercially feasible synthetic strategy * Advance technology used in the laboratory to improve process development understanding and reduce cycle times * Analyze and interpret analytical results and make process changes as necessary * Provide support for scale up of new products by technicians in both a kilo lab and plant setting * Makes conceptual contributions to development activities and scientific strategies; introduces some new methodologies and solutions to overcome synthetic and manufacturing obstacles * Contributes to reports and regular updates at appropriate project intervals while maintaining detailed laboratory records * Works in a safe manner. Reads, understands and follows all pertinent SOPs

Qualifications * Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry or closely related field * Strong background in organic synthesis and process development or a postdoc * 0-5 years of industry experience.
