WSP USA Project Procurement Specialist in Montreal, Quebec

The Opportunity:

We are looking for a motivated and experienced Procurement Specialist to join our Procurement and Contract Management team. Reporting to a Project Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for assisting with the procurement process, including supplier management and preparation of purchase orders. You will also be responsible for ensuring that our commitments to our projects and suppliers are met.

What you can expect to do here:

  • Ensuring compliance with Procurement and Contract Management policies and procedures

  • Managing the purchase orders and change orders

  • Verifying the supplier invoices prior to approvals

  • Managing project specific terms and conditions

  • Analyzing and evaluating supplier performance

  • Developing and maintaining supplier relationships

  • Coordinating with project teams

  • Providing support and training to projects on various procurement procedures

  • Assist in procurement internal project audits

What you’ll bring to WSP:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related education combined with experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement

  • Strong understanding of business processes

  • Must be fluent in both the French and English

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong interpersonal skills

  • Strong organizational skills

  • Highly developed attention to detail

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Strong multitasking skills

  • Ability to work in a team environment

  • Ability to work independently

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

  • Ability to work in various Office tools such as Word, Excel

  • Experience working in Oracle is an asset
