CAE USA INC Production Cell Leader (Night Shift) in Montreal (St. Laurent), Canada
Role and Responsibilities
We are seeking a manager with experience in manufacturing who is recognized for his or her interpersonal skills, maturity and ability to influence others. Adept with technology and taking pride in a job well done, the candidate will be involved in improving operational processes by finding simple and practical solutions.
Your responsibilities:
Defines assignments and workload for work team within department and sets priorities
Monitors costs, progress and quality of work and determines solutions to problems encountered
Produces budget for department and reviews content of proposals
Answers complex technical questions escalated from team members
Performs work of senior staff when required
Makes recommendations regarding recruiting and other human resources management activities (e.g. training)
Discusses salary adjustments with Manager
Develops standards and/or procedures to serve as guidelines in the future
Manages and disciplines employees according to collective agreement and human resources policies
Conducts goal setting and performance assessments
He must be able to communicate the advancement of projects during governances.
Understands aspects of cell production, equipment operation and cycle time reduction, to ensure efficient management of work teams
Leads improvement projects within department and a couple of supporting departments
Your qualifications:
College Degree with typically a minimum of eight to ten years of related experience, including demonstrated administrative capability, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Demonstrated potential to lead and coordinate a group of employees
Capacity to communicate with different hierarchy levels within the business unit and with our customers
Team work
