Eaton Corporation Program Manager II in Moon Township, Pennsylvania

Eaton’s Protection, Control & Solutions (PCS) group is currently seeking a Program Manager II. This position is based at our Moon Township, PA (Pittsburgh) location. Relocation will be provided to candidates currently residing within the US/PR.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $105000.03 - $154000.04 a year.

What you’ll do:

Electrical Sector Americas, PCS division is looking for a motivated and committed Global Program Manager with a unique blend of strong leadership skills, technical acumen, and the ability to manage and lead global teams in pursuit of global new product development.

Responsibilities include:

• successful execution of large global cross-division, cross-business unit product development projects, spanning offices, time zones and hemispheres

• navigate ambiguous challenges requiring fluency in project management, change management, stakeholder management & communications.

• work with the GPL and PCS Electrical Sector functional excellence team improving maturity of program management practice across Engineering organization.

  • Ability to synthesize data and navigate product requirements to support global teams in driving consensus and alignment around program scope and direction

  • Leads and drives project and program planning, execution, requirements management, risk mitigation, and issue tracking for assigned Global program(s) with teams in APAC, EMEA, and Americas

  • Manages the Profit and Loss of assigned global program(s). Responsibility, Authority and Accountability (RAA) for program(s) scope delivery and successful execution within technical, schedule, cost and quality commitments.

  • Able to effectively integrate projects into programs and manage execution and planning to ensure GPL, Sector, Americas, and CTO goals are successfully achieved.

  • Establishes objectives and goals and provides direction to the program and reporting project teams in areas of customer concerns, potential changes in scope and risk assessment. Facilitates the implementation of program management processes at the site, business unit, division, and sector.

  • Ensure standard project and program management processes are utilized and adequate support to the teams by coordinating program management (PM) reviews, preparing & publishing PM metrics and reports.

  • Maintain metrics for program progress, quality, technical performance, and delivery through all of the PROLaunch phases.

  • Gains the knowledge, experience and leverages the Eaton PROLaunch process, Design and Process Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA's), Multi-Generational Product Planning (MGPP), SIOP input, and industrialization.

  • Provides periodic program updates (Program Status Report – Green/Yellow/Red) of current situation relating to milestones and problem/high risk areas (e.g., technical, cost, and schedule) to the business units as well as divisional, and sector levels.

Qualifications:

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution

  • Minimum 5 years of project management experience in new product development

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Engineering from an accredited institution

  • Experience leading large global cross-functional teams as part of new product development projects or programs

  • 6+ years’ experience in Program Management; or a combination of Program Management with some Engineering and/or Product Development Management

  • Experience developing and navigating product requirements

  • PMP or equivalent certification

  • Excellent business communications and presentation skills, interpersonal and partnership skills at all levels of the organization, including working with leaders and executives

  • Versatile and driven team player with the ability to build relationships and community with coworkers and cross-functional partners

  • Ability to travel approximately 15-20%, including internationally
