Lowe's Assistant Manager Accounting in Mooresville, North Carolina

Your Impact

The primary purpose of this role is to accurately process and review financial activities to enable accurate accounting and reporting of vendor funding. This includes responsibility for conducting effective research, managing, tracking, reporting, and reviewing work (first and/or second level) for financial activities to ensure accounting records are correct. In addition, this role is a key partner to their team’s assigned Merchandising areas and will work closely with the business and others in finance to achieve respective outcomes.

What You Will Do

  • Oversees a group of individuals responsible for the timely, complete and accurate processing of financial activities related to vendor funding.

  • Oversees training, work product review, and employee development within their respective group to build accounting skillset and knowledge and to ensure accuracy of processing and financial reporting.

  • Manages and performs moderately analyses (i.e., historical, forecasting, impact, etc.), partner reviews and timely reconciliations to support monthly, quarterly, and annual closing cycles.

  • Research financial transactions related to their areas of responsibility to identify issues and determine appropriate resolution independently.

  • Executes specials projects and resolution of within the respective area to deliver optimal solutions.

  • Communicates effectively and proactively within the team, across other functions, and directly with external vendors to mitigate issues and resolve questions.

  • Partners with team and the business to identify process improvement opportunities to support the needs of the business more effectively.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting and 4+ years’ experience in accounting (public or industry)

  • Advanced skills in MS office programs (Excel, Word, Access)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience leading a team and/or supervising others with direct or indirect reports.

  • Lowe's finance or accounting experience

  • Experience with SOX testing and internal controls and compliance

  • Experience working with diverse teams on enterprise-wide projects.

  • Experience working with global teams.

Pay Range for CA, CO, HI, NJ, NY, WA: $81,200.00 - $135,400.00 annually Starting rate of pay may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, position offered, location, education, training, and/or experience.
