About the role This position is responsible for repairing, adjusting, and/or maintaining industrial production and processing machinery in a safe, clean and efficient manner. Responsibilities Completes process checks on specified quality forms and records Assures all assigned equipment safety guarding is in place and all areas of the machine are clean, neat and organized Documents required repairs and maintenance tasks Monitors Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) to ensure set standards are achieved or exceeded Observes gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure equipment is working properly Inspects equipment, products, materials, or packaging to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects Repairs, cleans, lubricates, or adjusts machinery to optimally maintain the equipment Disassembles, repairs or replaces malfunctioning/broken machinery or equipment components Reassembles equipment after completion of inspections, testing, or repair Examines parts for defects, such as excessive wear or breakage Performs changeovers and set-ups to equipment as required Places or pours WIP components or materials into containers or fills hoppers/feeder bowls from designated Gaylords Cleans work areas using basic cleaning materials Performs additional duties as assigned Qualifications Knowledge of machines and tools, including their design, use, repair, and maintenance Ability to operate newly repaired machinery or equipment to verify the adequacy of repairs Ability to analyze failures, machine error messages, or information obtained from operators Self-motivated and capable of identifying and completing tasks with minimal direction Ability to determine causes of operating errors and implementing effective solutions Ability to quickly move hands, hands together with arms, or two hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects Ability to focus on a single source of sound in the presence of other distracting sounds Ability to communicate in verbal and written English Minimum of 1 year technical experience required, in a manufacturing environment preferred Requires standing, walking, sitting, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, handling, grasping, and feeling Requires eye/hand/foot coordination Requires the ability to lift up to 40 pounds $20.91 and up Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential job functions Education & Experience High School Diploma or equivalent required, Associates degree in technical field preferred.
