Eaton Corporation Vice President Operations EMEA in Morges, Switzerland

What you’ll do:

Eaton Corporation is seeking a Vice President Operations EMEA. This position is based at our EMEA HQ, Morges Switzerland (or one of the main Eaton Hubs in Europe).

This executive will be a key member of the Strategic Leadership Team for Eaton’s EMEA region. The Vice President will partner with other leaders to outline strategy for EMEA Operations that provides the best competitive position with core competences and strong focus on world class manufacturing.

  • Champion process improvement, operational excellence programs and cross-facility collaboration to achieve optimized performance across EMEA manufacturing footprint. Create synergies through key performance indicators within manufacturing operations across the divisions to maximize manufacturing profit.

  • Provide strategic support to the President and the Operations Directors in Electrical sector of EMEA.

  • Partner with business stakeholders to help them accelerate on their ability to deliver on the strategic guidance.

  • Monitor business performance against plan and adjust as needed. Perform analyses and scenario planning; develop insights and proposals to improve business value.

  • Maintain a strategic view over the set of operations related projects, provide the framework for implementing initiatives and large-scale change programs and take care of change management including definition and communication of a vision of the outcome of the program and associated benefits.

  • Drive change and results by championing operational excellence and performance initiatives to ensure alignment and successful execution to key business goals and objectives. Work with sites to continually drive improvements through the application of lean manufacturing principles and ensure impact on high five metrics.

  • Monitor all manufacturing areas are performing to the requirements of the customer and company financial expectations.

  • Take full responsibility for the definition, approach, facilitation and satisfactory completion of operations programs and large-scale projects. Plan and drive scoping, requirements definition and prioritization activities for large, complex initiatives.

  • Drive accountability for results yet be supportive and effective at developing individuals to assume greater levels of responsibility and personal contribution.

  • Produce reports as appropriate for program portfolio governance, including making recommendations for changes to the portfolio.

  • Partner and network with division, group and sector functional resources and stakeholders to ensure alignment of strategic objectives, annual goals and metrics and resources.

  • Continuously improve operations and business processes through alignment with Eaton’s Business System with a strong focus on driving continuous improvement / lean culture and consistent standard of processes to achieve high fives and maximize profitability results.

  • Must have a hands-on style to operational leadership that emphasizes teamwork and collaboration with a strong customer focus.

  • Develop and deploy an operational optimization strategy that provides the best competitive position with core competencies, localized supply chain, and coordinated communication, including development and execution of operations footprint strategy.

Qualifications:

  • The ideal candidate must be an experienced and highly professional manufacturing executive possessing a track record of success throughout his/her career and broad capability across all organizational functions.

  • Professional experience in program management is strongly desired.

  • Good combination of strategic vision, strong operations, and bottom-line capabilities, along with an effective interpersonal style and “hands-on” approach

  • Knowledge of Program and Project Management methodologies, processes, and tools

  • Experience in Risk Management

  • The right candidate will have extensive experience leading multi-site teams.

  • Experience with manufacturing footprint projects and successful “turnaround” initiatives

  • Strong experience on standards, customer requirements and customer audits

  • Business-minded operations executive with excellent leadership skills, broad base of manufacturing knowledge, and a demonstrated and successful track record of leading within a international matrix organization

  • A strong leader with a demonstrated track record of articulating and communicating a strategic vision in a pragmatic manner.

  • Demonstrated track record of developing talent and fostering an inclusive environment.

  • Proven ability to drive process improvement.

  • A demonstrated capability to lead across a multi-divisional large-scale business through the use of influence and indirect authority.

  • Experience and success with operating in a large and matrix organization.

  • 15 years of experience in senior leadership with extensive manufacturing operations, continuous improvement, and supply chain experience with a proven career path demonstrating significant accomplishments and increasing levels of responsibilities

  • An undergraduate degree from an accredited institution is required.

  • An advanced degree is preferred
