Position Summary

The Cash Application & AR Analyst (“CAA”) will be responsible to manage daily cash application for assigned accounts and ensure that all cash payments received in all forms are applied correctly, timely and efficiently. The CAA will be responsible to reconcile complex accounts and identify areas for improvement in the process in order to further automate the entire cash application process. The CAA will be accountable to assist in reconciling daily cash to bank accounts, third party portals and credit cards.

Principal Responsibilities

• Reviews all cash application reports to ensure cash is applied correctly and reconciles to the bank files.

• Manages daily transactional workload with peers and Manager.

• Monitors unapplied cash and unidentified cash, researches and ensures all balances are applied within same calendar month.

• Confirm integrity of all journal entries, internal adjustments, customer refunds, and write offs.

• Acts as backup to peers as needed in addition to assigned responsibilities.

• Supports Accounts Receivable Manager with projects, reporting and other Cash Application related requirements.

• Ensures process is SOX compliant and works to correct any gaps with Sr. Director Credit and Collections.

• Supports overall AR process as assigned by Manager.

• Works with the Team Lead to identify root cause reasons for unapplied payments and works with Order to Cash ( “OTC”) partners to improve the metrics each month.

• Assists the Team Lead in the management of international receivables reconciliation by working with customers, businesses and the credit team.

• Always looks for cost efficiencies, team development initiatives and ways to collaborate with all other business process champions.

Education / Experience Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree, in Finance or Accounting preferred.

• At least 2 years of Accounts Receivable experience.

• Proficiency in SAP, Microsoft Office applications, specifically Word and Excel.
