Summary:
The Admissions Coordinator is responsible for census management and efficient admissions to facility. The Coordinator will tour prospective customers and explain facility objectives. Meet and interview new patients, explain insurance benefits and bill of rights. Obtain informed consent for medical record and financial folder. Input patient demographics to computer program and place facesheets on chart. Verify primary insurance benefits and authorize admissions to facility when applicable. Communicate with facility departments regarding patient information. Identify physicians to attend.
Minimum Qualifications:
Required High School Diploma or GED
Required 2 years experience Related Field
Preferred Associates Degree in a related field
Preferred 2 years experience with medical insurance/Medicare
Preferred 2 years experience in Skilled Nursing
Location: MPH Morton Plant Rehab
Status: Full Time, 40 hours per week
Shift Hours: Monday - Friday 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
Weekend Work: On Call Every 3rd weekend
