rrPosition Summary:

r The Department of Theatre is seeking a part-time (20 hrs per week) Scene Shop Assistant for the 24-25 academic year to work in the Hartung Theatre scene shop under the supervision of the Technical Director.

rrMinimum Qualifications:

r

• experience with wood shop tools such as saws, drills, grinders, pneumatics;
• knowledge of building materials and hardware;
• knowledge of theatre safety and cleanliness;
• supervisory experience.

rrPreferred Qualifications:

r

• experience leading building teams for construction;
• experience doing carpentry for theatre;
• experience setting up and using stage lighting equipment;
• experience setting up and using sound equipment like speakers, amps, and microphones.

rrPhysical Requirements & Working Conditions:
