Description We are offering a contract employment opportunity for an Accountant in Mount Vernon, Washington. The selected candidate will be responsible for executing a variety of accounting tasks, including reconciliations, general ledger accounting, and financial statement preparation. This role is within a team-oriented workplace where collaboration and attention to detail are highly valued.

Responsibilities:

• Execute general ledger accounting tasks, ensuring accuracy and adherence to established accounting standards

• Perform reconciliations of financial information, identifying discrepancies and resolving them in a timely manner

• Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements

• Utilize Microsoft Excel for data analysis and financial modeling

• Record journal entries, ensuring each entry is accurate and complete

• Collaborate with team members and other departments to ensure cohesive financial operations

• Continuously update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and professional organizations

• Enhance organization's reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests, exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments

• Maintain confidence and protect operations by keeping financial information confidential

• Conduct monthly and quarterly account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance. Requirements • Possess a deep understanding of financial statements

• Have experience in maintaining general ledgers

• Be proficient in preparing and posting journal entries

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is a must

• A bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field

• Must have a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification

• Exhibit strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Proven experience in using accounting software

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Possess high ethical standards and integrity in professional conduct

• Familiarity with tax laws and regulations.
