PACCAR Inc. Powertrain Training Development Manager in Mount Vernon, Washington

Requisition Summary This position is required to provide leadership and consistency to the PACCAR Powertrain training curriculum. The person will be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of a cohesive training strategy. This role will act as the liaison between program management, aftersales, and marketing to develop internal readiness for product support. The role will be responsible for developing partnerships with the training departments at Kenworth and Peterbilt and establish the training requirements of the PACCAR Powertrain product portfolio for dealer technicians and vehicle support center agents. Job Functions / Responsibilities Compose and distribute both classroom and online training curriculum Update curriculum as new information, processes, and procedures become available Develop and oversee process to ensure content is delivered to key stakeholders including division training departments, field service, and powertrain support functions Collaborate with division training team members to test the development and relevancy of learning activities, training materials, facilitator guides, and lesson plans Assist in developing and maintaining a communication strategy to ensure product updates/trending items are communicated expeditiously to field service and dealer training stakeholders Deliver classroom training to all level of technicians and effectively audit use of PACCAR Powertrain prepared training material as being presented by others Manage training assets at remote locations across North America Ensure PACCAR Powertrain brand cohesiveness across training platforms Coordinate with technical publications team across the divisions Qualifications Experience with training content development, project management, as well as organizational and team leadership skills A thorough knowledge of diesel engines, especially the PACCAR MX, required along with knowledge of engine failure mode analysis Self-directed with excellent analysis and technical reasoning ability An ability to form and maintain functional teams from a wide range of groups, and group sizes, within the organization Effective and professional communications skills (verbal and written) with a high level of interpersonal skills Ability to confidently interface with all levels in the organization Bachelors degree in a related field Photographic or video experience a plus 10+ years relevant work experience in the truck industry required Ability to travel up to 35% Company Information PACCAR is a Fortune 500 company established in 1905.
