What you'll bring

  • BS/MS in Computer Science or related field, experience in leading multiple initiatives is strongly desired

  • 5+ years experience as an established technical leader in leading/managing cloud operations, site reliability and database infrastructure running on AWS

  • 5+ year of experience in leading site reliability engineering, operations, and development productivity teams

  • Passion for technology with a minimum of 8-12 years of software development and services experience, preferably with experience in cloud computing in Amazon Web Services (AWS), distributed systems, Databases (Oracle, Aurora PostgreSQL, ElasticSearch/OpenSearch), Kafka, Java/Kotlin, Kubernetes, Splunk, Wavefront, RESTful APIs, GraphQL and CI/CD

  • Ability to think and act strategically for all stakeholders. Adept at articulating the product vision and driving the future roadmap with strong business acumen

  • Organizational competencies and project management skills to keep projects, processes, and the entire engineering team on track in a distributed global engineering ecosystem

  • Self-motivated attitude with the ability to multitask and thrive in a timeline-driven environment

  • Excellent interpersonal communication and presentation skills with expertise in distilling complicated topics to a broader audience

  • Experience with Agile software development

  • Added advantage, if you have prior experience of leading database teams

  • Lead and grow a high performing engineering team to build best in class operational excellence leveraging modernized infrastructure and AI assisted tools

  • Accountability and ownership in achieving the Availability, Scalability and Resliency goals as measured by KPI’s

  • Instil and drive Operational Excellence best practices with influencing and aligning on standards as measured by metrics

  • Create shared vision, build and maintain strong cross-functional relationships with partners and stakeholders

  • Responsible for service high availability, incident management and conducting postmortem to learn from incidents

  • Build a culture of Innovation, technical and operational excellence on the team
