Google Strategy and Operations Principal Lead, Mastery in Mountain View, California

This role may also be located in our Playa Vista, CA campus.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

  • 8 years of experience in management consulting, sales operations, business strategy, investment banking, venture capital, private equity or corporate advisory, or 6 years of experience with an advanced degree.

Preferred qualifications:

  • MBA.

  • 2 years of experience in advertising, consultative sales, business development, or a digital media environment.

  • Ability to communicate with and influence both senior executives and sales/enablement teams, with excellent leadership skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects under deadlines.

  • Excellent collaboration skills, with the ability to work with people from a broad range of backgrounds.

  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.

The Mastery Team develops and delivers product and skills training to Google Sales and services teams, as well as external client and agency partners. The team is made up of learning professionals, sales and marketing leaders, consultants, analysts, program managers, and engineers who launch and iterate learning programs to help audiences thrive.

As a Strategy and Operations Principal Lead, you will help drive the organization forward through key strategic initiatives and will be focused on aligning company priorities with operations. You will be a critical thought leader and catalyst for activation and change management, collaborating with leadership across the organization to streamline internal processes, ensure cross-functional alignment of goals, and execution.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $174,000-$261,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.   • Define, prioritize, structure, and execute strategic and operational initiatives which includes developing work plans, gathering and synthesizing data, leading analyses, and developing and implementing recommendations.

  • Drive resource allocation, measure/report progress against key objectives, and manage business updates/quarterly reviews.

  • Deliver on initiatives that are foundational elements to the Mastery team achieving its learning and business objectives (e.g., process standardization and optimization, measurement strategy, talent strategy, etc.).

  • Analyze business processes to identify potential issues and uncover/prioritize levers for improvement; influence senior stakeholders to implement suggested improvements.

  • Structure and package work into compelling presentations and communications that influence various audiences and senior executives.
