SCM plays a meaningful role when it comes to securing our global supply chain for Environmental, Social and Governance aspects and meeting Siemens’ expectations towards our partners. We continuously improve our validated “prevent-detect-respond” approach and manage the decarbonization of our supply chain. We work together as a team with a broad network of internal and external partners.

Be part of a highly engaged team and create impact by:

  • Facilitating day-to-day operations within our well-established “Carbon Reduction @ Suppliers” program that focuses on engaging Siemens suppliers to develop ambitious decarbonization roadmaps.

  • Further developing our upstream CO2 management approach to meet future (regulatory) requirements.

  • Gradually taking over the responsibility for an upstream CO2 reduction performance controlling incl. the development of important metrics and a target management system.

  • Support the digitalization and automation of upstream decarbonization processes and tools, such as our Sustainability Platform, our CO2 monitoring Dashboard and their respective integration to underlying databases.

  • Provide high quality sustainability data and insights to support defining improvement measures and supplier engagement as well as for monitoring and disclosure purposes.

Your success is grounded in:

  • Having a university degree (master's degree / diploma) preferably in economics, sustainability, business excellence or comparable background

  • Bringing 5+ years of professional experience e.g., in accounting, controlling, project management in a procurement environment, preferably related to sustainability

  • Knowledge of relevant sustainability / GHG standards and regulatory frameworks (for example GRI, TCFD and/or GHG Protocol, CSRD)

  • Being skilled in controlling and data analytics, strong awareness for data quality and integrity

  • Having a collaborative mindset, being comfortable to perform in a dynamic working environment

  • Having business fluent skills in English and German
