We are looking for an Assistant Geotechnical Engineer to join our existing team in Naas, Ireland. This role is available on either a full-time or a part-time basis.
WSP has been appointed as part of the Client Partner team for the Dublin MetroLink project, and the successful applicant will work on this project (and many others).
Site based work involving supervision of ground investigation and construction works, as well as office based work.
Production of high quality reports and liaison with specialists and clients.
Preparation of ground models and design parameters.
Analysis of slopes, walls, foundations and other geotechnical structures.
Support of all aspects of project delivery including client liaison and co-ordinating with colleagues from other disciplines.
Contributing to the implementation of higher sustainability and better use of 3D data in our project delivery.
Use of our newly developed geotechnical training framework in your personal development and that of your colleagues at all grades. We promote a culture of learning from each other through our collective experience.
A fundamental appreciation of ground risk and site investigation.
A strong grasp of fundamental soil mechanics and foundation engineering principles.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to generate high quality reports and design deliverables.
Ambition to progress towards chartered status.
