We are looking for an Assistant Geotechnical Engineer to join our existing team in Naas, Ireland. This role is available on either a full-time or a part-time basis.

WSP has been appointed as part of the Client Partner team for the Dublin MetroLink project, and the successful applicant will work on this project (and many others).

  • Site based work involving supervision of ground investigation and construction works, as well as office based work.

  • Production of high quality reports and liaison with specialists and clients.

  • Preparation of ground models and design parameters.

  • Analysis of slopes, walls, foundations and other geotechnical structures.

  • Support of all aspects of project delivery including client liaison and co-ordinating with colleagues from other disciplines.

  • Contributing to the implementation of higher sustainability and better use of 3D data in our project delivery.

  • Use of our newly developed geotechnical training framework in your personal development and that of your colleagues at all grades. We promote a culture of learning from each other through our collective experience.

  • A fundamental appreciation of ground risk and site investigation.

  • A strong grasp of fundamental soil mechanics and foundation engineering principles.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to generate high quality reports and design deliverables.

  • Ambition to progress towards chartered status.
