Operating Unit

A Day in the Life

• Tests the functionality and performance of medical device software systems and software applications.

• Develops and executes test plans and scripts designed to detect problems in medical device software systems and software applications.

• Create test reports used for regulatory submissions.

• Ensures medical device software systems and software applications meets technical and functional requirements.

• Performs workflow analysis, documents test results and recommends quality improvements.

• Works with development to resolve software defects and diagnose/improve product configuration for current and future models.

• Reviews test automation frameworks, tools, techniques, and methodologies.

• Manages completion of own work assignments and coordinates work with others.

• Identifies and encourages areas for growth and improvement.

• Continues to strengthen industry knowledge and use that knowledge to improve the quality of our products.

• Additional duties as assigned.

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, Computer Science or a related technical field with 5+ years of engineering experience

• Minimum 3 years of experience in embedded and software system testing.

• Strong understanding of embedded systems hardware and software architectures.

• Familiarity with programming languages C, C+• Strong understanding of embedded systems hardware and software architectures.

• Experience with scripting languages for test automation (e.g., Python)

Nice to Have

• Experience in the medical device industry or other regulated industries

• Experience with test case management software tools

• Experience with developing and maintaining automated testing systems

• Experience with testing software-controlled hardware devices

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Experience with Agile development methodologies

• Experience with Security and Risk analysis
