Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity in the transport industry for an Accounts Receivable Clerk in Nashville, Tennessee. This role involves maintaining and managing customer credit records within our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of tasks including setting up in-house accounts, receiving and posting payments, and conducting account reconciliations.
Responsibilities:
• Accurately processing customer credit applications
• Establishing and managing in-house accounts
• Communicating with customers to collect payments
• Posting received payments to relevant accounts
• Performing account reconciliations to ensure accuracy
• Maintaining up-to-date and accurate customer credit records
• Monitoring customer credit accounts and taking appropriate action for delinquent payments
• Utilizing provided skills to provide excellent customer service
• Collecting payments and managing incoming cash payments
• Ensuring all responsibilities are conducted in line with industry standards. Requirements • Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the Transport industry.
• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation is required.
• Experience in Collecting Payments, Post Payments, Receiving Payments, and Cash Payments is necessary.
• Skills in managing Incoming Payments and Posting Payments are essential.
• Exceptional Customer Service skills are required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are desired.
• Must have the ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite is expected.
• A bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field is preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential.
• Knowledge of accounting principles and best practices is required.
