Job Summary and Qualifications

The CMMS Specialist plays a crucial role in optimizing the management of HCA Healthcare’s facility assets and maintenance operations through the effective use of Engineering Central, HCA’s Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). This role is responsible for the administration, configuration, and ongoing support of the CMMS, ensuring data accuracy and system efficiency. Key duties include conducting asset audits, maintaining and updating asset records, generating insightful reports, and providing education support and training to end-users. The CMMS Specialist helps to streamline maintenance processes, enhance asset performance, and support the organization's overall operational goals. This role works closely with hospital facility management teams, division shared service leadership, and the CMMS manager to perform in-depth asset audits and assessments, identify inventory gaps, and create action plans to improve data accuracy. The CMMS Specialist will also work closely with Design & Construction and other project teams to ensure MEP assets removed/installed during a project are reflected in Engineering Central. It is crucial for this role to be highly detail oriented, have strong communication skills, and collaborate well with others.

What you will do in this role:

  • Perform asset assessments to identify data gaps and inaccuracies

  • Develop corrective action plans with facility leadership to address audit findings

  • Generate and analyze reports on asset performance, maintenance activities, and downtime

  • Analyze and recommend improvements to asset management and maintenance processes

  • Configure and maintain CMMS settings and parameters to meet facility need

  • Work closely with maintenance, engineering, and procurement teams to align CMMS data with operational needs

  • Coordinate with Design and Construction and other project teams to ensure new asset installations are inventoried in Engineering Central

  • Assist in troubleshooting CMMS-related issues and coordinate with IT for resolution

  • Utilize training materials and sessions to ensure effective use of the CMMS.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Practices and adheres to the “Code of Conduct” and “Mission and Value Statement.”

What qualifications you will need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Facilities Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience, preferred

  • 2+ years of experience in CMMS administration, asset management, or a related role, required

  • Previous experience managing HCA’s Engineering Central, preferred
