Job Summary and Qualifications

The Director, Clinical Advisory Services: Neuroscience provides clinical operations leadership in establishing strategic goals and priorities for the Neuroscience service line. The Director partners with corporate, division, and facility leadership to assure the delivery of safe and effective clinical practice and patient care. This individual is responsible for leading the Neuroscience clinical initiatives with a focus on quality improvement, patient safety, clinical operations and supporting service line growth initiatives. Leads in the development of strategies, tactics, and tools to advance the Neuroscience clinical agenda. Up to 25% travel required.

Major Responsibilities:

•Serves as subject matter expert and clinical advisor to key facility, division, corporate partners.

•Identifies long term and short term strategies to advise CSG leadership on direction for clinical care and safety for high risk clinical programs.

•Delivers, with key stakeholders, data-driven, cost-effective clinical improvement strategies and tactics to improve care delivery across the stroke programs.

•Designs clinical solution programs and improvement strategies in alignment with corporate initiatives.

•Develop strategies and tactics to accelerate clinical excellence within assigned projects and programs.

•Designs implementation of evidence based strategies in collaboration with corporate, division, and facility leaders for improving performance and growth of safe, effective, efficient programs.

•Applies performance improvement principles within projects and programs.

•Partners with Regulatory and Accreditation to provide resources and consultative services to support facility compliance with The Joint Commission and DMV standards (e.g. Primary, Comprehensive Stroke Centers).

•Leads clinical improvement activities with corporate, division, and facility multidisciplinary teams.

•Incorporates evidence based practice for monitoring performance, improvement, and outcomes of care.

•Drives execution and creates pathways for enhanced systems of performance management.

•Delivers, with key stakeholders, data-driven, cost-effective clinical improvement strategies and tactics to improve care delivery.

•Leads, designs, and develops standardized strategies and plans for prioritized clinical initiatives including; clinical, operational, performance visibility, technical, and clinical education.

•Leads high risk complex care assessments aligned to service line or strategic initiatives.

•Provides guidance for the coordination, development, and deployment of educational content for facility leadership, physicians, and staff.

•Collaborates with service line leadership at the facility, division, and corporate levels, to improve clinical operations, advance program growth, and increase efficiency.

•Develops meaningful and actionable metrics and analysis to support facility, division and corporate leaders.

•Provides consultation to medical staff and leadership at all levels under the direction of CSG-Care Process Design leadership.

•Evaluates, in partnership with Neuroscience leaders, effectiveness of initiatives to improve patient safety and quality with the modification of tactics and/or resources as needed.

•Establishes and maintains relationships with key external collaborators and professional organizations.

•Develops strategic relationships across the organization to enhance cross-collaboration and efficient execution of clinical priorities.

Education & Experience:

•Bachelor's degree required/Master's degree preferred

•5+ years of experience in a Neuroscience clinical leadership role

•Registered Nurse – Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse in the state in which he or she practices, in accordance with law and regulation preferred
