Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse, Orthopaedics will apply the nursing process to plan and implement the care of patients, including patient and family education and continuum of care planning. The registered nurse, urology effectively communicates pertinent patient/family information to the health care team. Collaborates in establishing patient goals and evaluates progress to ensure effective outcomes.

Department/Unit Summary:

We care for adult patients ranging from teenagers to geriatrics who are being treated for elective procedures such as total joint replacement, bone and soft tissue tumor resections, as well as Ortho trauma patients with various fractures and injuries from a traumatic event (car accident, ATV accident, falls, violent crimes, etc.). Our patients are unique because they may have a very short length of stay. The majority of our patients are discharged to home and with the Ortho Trauma population it is often the first time they have ever been in the hospital.

• Full-time

• Days (7am-7pm)

• Nights (7pm-7am)
