Nesco Resource Quality Assurance Auditor (QA Auditor) in Naugatuck, Connecticut

**DIRECT HIRE OPENING:

Job Description:** The Quality Associate plays a vital role in ensuring the quality and compliance of all nutraceutical ingredients manufactured and distributed by our company. This position involves reviewing and updating technical documentation and working closely with various teams, including customers, product managers, customer service representatives, and facility staff. The role also involves ensuring FDA compliance.

Responsibilities:

Technical Documentation:

  • Certificates of Analysis (C/A): Ensure conformance to specifications, check incoming shipment C/A's, communicate non-conformances, maintain C/A folders, save C/A's within ERP system, and review C/A's for specific customer shipments.
  • Specifications: Maintain current product specifications, establish specifications based on manufacturers' C/A's, create and sign specification sheets, maintain 'Customer Specifications' folder, and record new product specifications.
  • Manufacturer/Supplier Documentation: Request and save updated documents for FSVP compliance, calculate nutrition facts, compose product statements, review manufacturer documents, respond to technical inquiries, handle product questionnaires, and ensure accuracy of forwarded information.

Kosher Certification:

  • Conduct monthly reviews of the Kosher program with Rabbi, maintain current Kosher certificates, and submit certification applications for new products.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Order office supplies, organize inbound samples and COA/SDS, assist with internal and external audits, and perform other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a science-related field or relevant work experience in a manufacturing/distribution environment.
  • Highly organized with strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail, analytical, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills and a passion for providing excellent service.
  • Positive, energetic, enthusiastic attitude, proactive, responsible, results-driven, and problem/solution oriented.
  • Flexible to the needs of the business with strong computer skills (MS Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
