Responsibilities - What youll do
  • Perform basic construction tests such as air, slump, moisture, compaction, aggregate gradation, and density; report results to supervisor.
  • Perform measurements, computations, or other work in preparing final plans, change orders, and contractor payment estimates.
  • Assist in inspection of bituminous and portland cement concrete plants and/or grading, base, bituminous or concrete paving.
  • Maintain records and prepare reports pertaining to inspections; keep supervisor informed of activities or unusual conditions; ensure projects meet department standards.
  • Enter and record information regarding construction projects into computer programs.

  • Job requires moderate physical activity.
  • Job requires exposure to physical hazards, health and safety risks, and/or adverse or otherwise undesirable characteristics in the environment.
  • Job may require operation of vehicles to plow snow and spread ice control materials. :::

Qualifications - All you need for success
  • High School Diploma or GED/HiSET.
  • Successful completion of a work simulation examination and a medical-physical examination. :::
