The Position

Information Technology (IT) Professionals analyze, develop, implement, maintain, and modify computer operations, systems, networks, databases, applications, and/or information security. Incumbents may perform duties in one or more IT specialization areas depending on the needs of the agency.

Incumbents perform journey level duties and may serve as a lead worker to lower level IT staff as assigned. This is a supervisory level for the Computer Operations function.

This recruitment is for IT Professional 2 underfill for an IT Professional 3 position, located in Carson City, Nevada within the division of the OCIO, Client Services Unit. The candidate will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimizing our OnBase Enterprise Content Management (ECM) system. This role would be responsible for user management, security configuration, workflow management, performance monitoring, technical support, documentation, and working to ensure all infrastructure is kept updated and patched. To Qualify:

In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:

Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in computer science, management information systems, or closely related field and two years of professional IT experience relevant to the duties of the position which may include computer operations, systems administration, network administration, database administration, applications analysis and development, and/or information security; OR two years of experience as an IT Professional I in Nevada State service; OR four years of relevant technical experience as an IT Technician IV or above in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience as described above.

Special Requirements

Some positions are subject to call-out or call-back. Some positions require statewide travel. Some positions require work on evenings, weekends, and/or holidays.
