Insight Global Product Design Engineer in New Albany, Indiana
Job Description
Insight Global is looking for a Product Engineer for a permanent opportunity for one of its clients in New Albany, Indiana. We are targeting a salary range of $70,000-$110,000. This candidate will be a part of the New Product Design team focusing on taking products from concept/idea to actual design. They will be working very heavily within different CAD programs, particularly SolidWorks created new products. They will partner with a variety of different teams to ensure product vision is in line as well as running simulations for teams such as the New Product Development team. They will be focusing in small scale product design in this role. The ability to manage projects will be essential, depending on the scop/size of projects they could be managing one project or 5+. This candidate will need to be adapt to change at a fast pace as the company/priorities can change quickly based on customer needs. This will be a five day a week onsite role

Skills and Requirements
Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology or related
3+ Years of experience in small scale new product design
Strong experience using engineering design software (ex Solid Works/AutoCAD)
Professional experience owning multiple projects simultaneously · Experience with Simulation Software: FEA, CFD/Thermal Modeling
· Experience in connector design
Experience with Component, assembly design and manufacturing null
