Chobani Sleeving Lead - Grade 6 - D Shift - 6:00PM - 6:30AM, Every Other Weekend Required (New Berlin, NY) in New Berlin, New York

Summary

The Sleeving Lead will work with the Sleeving Supervisor to plan and direct the workflow for the shift, making sure all operators have the materials, training and staffing needed to be successful. Responsibilities

Interpret production schedule to determine which product to run on each line and when to run it while reacting to production changes as needed Audit all paperwork to ensure compliance and the accuracy of all information Train employees in all operations in Sleeving as needed Confirm attendance and assign work to employees, schedule breaks to ensure maximum efficiency Act as the first line of contact to diffuse any disagreements on the production floor Make sure lines are stocked with enough material to meet schedule demand  Perform minor repairs to machines as needed Fill in for employees during breaks as needed Follow Chobani safety procedures  Follow Good Manufacturing Practices  Perform other duties as assigned  

Requirements

High School Diploma with additional technical training in mechanical/machining field or an equivalent combination of education and experience  6 or more months of experience in a production environment  Must have working knowledge and thorough understanding of ERP and/or MRP platform Continuous Improvement, Lean Manufacturing and OEE experience preferred
