Reference #: 20219561 What you will do Johnson Controls has an exciting Project Manager opportunity! This individual willdetermine the direction of complex chiller projects by managing assigned orders through theorder execution, engineering, manufacturing and startup phases. Working in a team environment,theProjectManagerwilldevelopanddocumenttheplan,ensureadherence, and manage risk factors identified in each contract.Theassignedcustomerorders willhaveahighdegreeofcomplexityorspecialcircumstanceswhencomparedtostandardproducts.Theprojects willbe managedaccordingtostrictcustomerandfinancialrequirements.Thisincludesacquiringresourcesandcoordinatingtheefforts ofcore,extended andsupportteammembers,suppliers,contractorsorconsultantsinordertodeliverprojectsaccordingtoplan.The preference is to have this individual based in York, PA, or San Antonio, TX.

The Project Manager will also be tasked with leading change management initiatives for the business and will work closely with engineering, manufacturing, and other groups within Johnson Controls to study and implement new business workflows, with the end result being a more streamline ordering and manufacturing process, both internally and externally to Johnson Controls.

How you will do it

Determine and assess the need for additional team members or resources and communicateadditional needs to leadership when project goals are being affected.

Plan,schedule,andtrackprojecttimelines,deliverables,andmilestonesusingappropriate tools.Identifyandmanageprojectdependenciesandcriticalpath.

Identifyandresolveprojectscope,financialandscheduleimpactsrelatedto manufacturing issues.

Build, develop and grow business relationships with customers and suppliers vital to thesuccess of JCI's specially engineered products.

Continuous Improvement:

Conduct project post-mortems and create a lessons learned report in order toidentifysuccessful and unsuccessful project elements.

Developbestpracticesandtoolsforprojectexecutionandmanagement.

Leadership:

Coach, mentor, motivate and provide leadership to project team members and influencethem to take positive action and accountability.

Identify and engage required resources depending on status or project phase. Coordinateandleadacross-functionalprojectresourceteamtoensureclearandaccurate communicationnecessarytodelivertheprojectontimeandbudget. Identifyandresolveissuesandconflictswithintheprojectteam.

Communication:

Develop project plans, financial reports, resource plans and associated communications.documents.Provideandmanagechangestoeachthroughoutthescopeofaproject.

Deliverprojectstatusreportswhenrequestedandfacilitateproactivecommunication wheneverprojectgoalsordeliveringcustomercommitmentsareatrisk.

What you will need Requirements

BS/BA required, preferably in Engineering.

7+ years HVAC related experience in project or program management, supply chain planning or engineering.

Able to travel 15% of the time, both domestic and international.
