ASSA ABLOY is growing and there has never been a more exciting time to join us! We have created a brand-new position entitled Business Intelligence Analyst. This position will report directly to our Business Intelligence Manager based in New Haven, Connecticut and work closely with the Door Group Finance team and business leaders. Please note this is an onsite role to be located in either New Haven, CT or Milan, TN.

What would you do as our Business Intelligence Analyst ?

You will play an integral role p erforming and helping to lead the technical design and development of complex reporting solutions using Business Intelligence (BI) tools and data from varied data sources. You will be responsible for data analysis, creating reports, and query generation on complex systems based on customer requests. You will support internal and external stakeholders across many different business functions.

You will also:

  • Drive operational excellence by overseeing and maintaining the integrity and accuracy of data.

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of existing systems and protocols and recommend improvements .

  • Provide insights and recommendations to support strategic business decisions.

  • Present information and insights to business leaders and stakeholders. This may involve preparing and delivering reports, presentations, and dashboards.

  • Create dashboards and graphical reports with a wide variety of data visualization practices using Power BI.

  • Work with customers directly and possess the ability to respond to customer requests or events as they occur and develop the appropriate solution

  • Perform other duties and special projects as requested by the Door Group President and Vice President of Finance

  • Actively participate in providing a safe and harmonious working environment for all employees.

  • Comply and enforce compliance of all state and federal regulations, Company standards and the ASSA ABLOY Code of Conduct.

    The skills and experience we’re looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, Mathematics, Business or a related field.

  • Advanced certification or degrees in data analytics, BI, or related areas are preferred.

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft applications especially Excel, Power BI, Access, PowerPoint, Business Objects , and CSV for data collection and delivery.

  • Strong SQL experience with database management skills and the a bility to use computed or aggregated columns, averages, sums, or statistical computations, while writing sub-queries, nested queries, and complex SQL statements to present the required data.

  • Knowledge of ETL ( Extract, Transform, and Load ) processes and tools (such as SSIS or SQL Server Integration Services)

  • Experience programming using Python, R, C#, or Java

  • Knowledgeable of Data Warehousing concepts and familiarity OLAP ( Online Analytical Processing ) technology

  • Previous experience working cross-functionally and with decentralized teams.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail .

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex data findings to non-technical stakeholders.

  • High level of integrity with a strong sense of urgency and the a bility to prioritize projects under tight time deadlines.
