Robert Half Full Charge Bookkeeper in New Orleans, Louisiana
Description
We are searching for a meticulous Full Charge Bookkeeper for our client in New Orleans, Louisiana. This position will involve managing all general bookkeeping duties, including but not limited to maintaining accounts, reconciling entries, and preparing financial reports. The role is an excellent opportunity to apply and develop skills in Accounting Software Systems, Microsoft Office Suites, and Billing Functions in a dynamic workplace. This is a short-term contract opportunity.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and manage a well-organized system to account for financial transactions by establishing a chart of accounts and defining bookkeeping policies and procedures
• Maintain accounts by verifying, allocating, and posting transactions
• Balance accounts by reconciling entries
• Maintain and balance the general ledger
• Maintain quality historical records by filing documents
• Prepare financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information
• Manage Accounts Receivable by crafting invoices, reviewing payments received, and recording deposits
• Conduct routine bank reconciliations
• Perform various accounting functions and handle accounts payable
Requirements
• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems
• Familiarity with ADP - Financial Services
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel
• Skilled in Microsoft Office Suites
• Ability to use Microsoft Outlook effectively
• Understanding of Accounting Functions
• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP)
• Knowledge of Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Ability to perform Bank Reconciliations
• Experience in Billing Functions
