Customer contact, scheduling product deliveries, adhering to predetermined project timelines during the manufacturing phase of a project. The ability to multi-task in a fast paced proto-type manufacturing environment is required. Knowledge of manufacturing processes and procedures. What does the Director of Project Management do? Maintain a clean and organized work environment and operating system Responsible to coordinate for all project documentation Research questions related to the fabrication, welding, painting and assembly of customer projects. Communicate answers to shop floor personnel Coordinate delivery of outsourced components with the purchasing department to ensure vendor supplied parts are delivered in a timely manner Act as a primary focal point for customer contact during the manufacturing phase of a project Project/program scope management Develop and implement program schedules Monitor manufacturing progress against timeline milestones and advise management personnel of timeline changes and ECO's that take place during the course of a project Create shop floor work orders and properly structure Bills of Material (BOM) to reflect raw material assignments for in-housework or outsourcing sequences followed by in-house machining / welding / assembly / paint Have the knowledge manufacturing processes Have the knowledge of MPR/ERP, Microsoft products, blue printing reading, 2D & 3D software Ensure standard practices are followed by all Project Managers Provide standardized training for current and new Project Managers Monitor Key Point indicators across all active projects Development of project staff What do we look for in a quality candidate? Someone who: Ability to interact with Engineering, Mfg Operations, Sales, Clients and Quality is vital Five to Ten Years' experience in Project Management or Manufacturing Management Bachelor of Science degree in one of the following: Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering, Manufacturing Management, or Project Management PMP Certification desired 2+ years of people leadership OR Any combination of education and experience that would provide the required skill and knowledge for successful performance would be acceptable.
