Pfizer Senior Manager, Global Access Strategy and Pricing, Padcev and Bladder Cancer in New York City, New York

ROLE SUMMARY

The Senior Manager Padcev and Bladder Cancer role directly impacts the ability to achieve business objectives on a global basis by providing strategic support on access, value, and pricing strategy on the GU Global Access and Value (GAV) Team. She/he will report to and support the Genitourinary (GU) Global Access Strategy and Pricing Team lead within the GAV Oncology, and will be a core member of the Access Matrix Team to support the development and operationalization of the Integrated Value & Access Strategy (IVAS) for Padcev.

She /he will partner with cross-functional teams and key prioritized markets to develop, implement and deliver the IVAS. The Padcev Senior Manager will partner effectively with the AMT Leader and team members to maintain functional excellence and tactical execution for the portfolio. In addition, in this role, this individual will also work across cross-functional members of the Alliance team.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support the development and execution of the IVAS and tactics to support the value propositions of assigned indications/products within the portfolio

  • Support driving and maintaining functional excellence, IVAS, and tactical execution.

  • Provide Global payer insights to understand/meet the needs of all types of payers in key Pfizer markets/

  • Support the delivery of clear recommendations relating to payer strategy, pricing and reimbursement, evidence generation, data collection and value proposition.

  • Achieving the above will variously require the participation in virtual cross functional teams. When necessary, convene and coordinate taskforce deployments related to specific asset threats and opportunities.

  • Develop ideas, manage plans to achieve objectives and lead or co-lead projects across the division.

  • Facilitate the development, implementation and management of business strategies.

  • Manage the development of the project plan with cross functional teams to deliver the program on time, within schedule, and within budget.

  • Develop and execute communication plan to ensure effective and timely communication between the core team and functional management, senior management, and external partners.

Generate & synthesize Global payer Insights

  • Contribute to in-depth understanding of payer regulations, needs of all types of payers (e.g. HTA agencies, institutions and patients) in key Pfizer markets

  • Create and maintain expertise in payer regulation and priorities across major countries/archetypes in the region, and contribute to team MA & Pricing knowledge base

  • Assess and communicate of external access trends to anticipate potential challenges and opportunities for pipeline & inline portfolio

  • Gather and synthesize feedback for development programs with health technology assessment agencies, payers, and relevant patient associations within assigned region

Develop Payer Value Proposition and drive market access strategy

  • Support development of the access strategy and delivery of the Payer Value Proposition

  • Support the organization on the Payer Evidence strategy and its incorporation in the asset development program

  • Refine deliverables by payer archetypes and regions

Pricing strategy & access strategy and decision support

  • Support the global value and access strategy for Padcev launches and future lifecycle indications

  • Contribute to development of the Global Pricing and Access Strategy (GPA) to optimize the business opportunity for Pfizer, following appropriate approval governance and in close collaboration with access colleagues from the Alliance.

  • Provide guidance to appropriate countries on managing product launch within proposed price corridors and contribute to country best practice sharing.

  • Support the development of Global deliverables such as Value Based Agreements (VBA), Portfolio Contracting, etc.

Advance Functional Excellence in MA

  • Work efficiently and collaboratively in a highly matrixed environment

  • Manage project budget and timelines

In addition, you will be expected to:

  • Champion the access priorities internally and improve understanding of payer needs

  • Ensure effective engagement with key internal stakeholder groups such as other GAV teams, Global Commercial, Medical, Marketing, and Regulatory

This role will have a significant impact on a number of key deliverables, such as:

  • Ability to manage growth risk due to threats such as competitor pricing, payer policy changes, and the success of replacement earnings through new launches (securing price and reimbursement)

  • Ability to help patients do more, feel better and live longer amidst a challenging macroeconomic environment and barriers to access

  • The overall revenue which can be achieved from the R&D organization by optimizing the value that can be created from the medicines in the pipeline

QUALIFICATIONS

Required

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Advanced degree in a healthcare, business or economic field preferred (PharmD, PH.D, MD or MBA)

  • Experience: 7 years' experience in healthcare environment, preferably pharmaceutical industry or related consulting services, sufficient to have developed a deep understanding of the global payer and market access environment

  • Knowledge and understanding of drug development process

  • Pharmaceutical business leadership, including experience in strategy development and interaction with customers

  • Familiarity with strategic and operating planning processes

  • Knowledge and understanding of health economics and associated skills

  • Experience of managing people in a cross-cultural environment

  • Proven ability to build coalitions and develop strong partnerships across functions

Work Location Assignment:Flexible

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $131,200.00 to $218,600.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer's Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 17.5% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
