Job Summary

The Administrative Coordinator provides administrative, operational, and financial support for the Center for Engineering and Precision Medicine (CEPM) and its director. The Administrative Coordinator serves as a point of contact for internal and external constituents and performs administrative and financial duties independently including, but not limited to, placing lab supply orders, maintaining schedules, calendars, preparing for meetings, updating the Center’s website, and making travel arrangements. The Administrative Coordinator will assist in reviewing business documents and monitoring and reporting accounts and unit budget data as directed by Center leadership. The Administrative Coordinator will also be responsible for maintaining a database of the space and occupants of the CEPM and the director’s Research Group.

CEPM is located at 619 West 54th Street in midtown Manhattan.

Minimum Qualifications

High School/Equivalent - HS Diploma / GED

5 or more years of experience in an office setting providing administrative support to one or more busy professionals.

Relevant combinations of education, training and experience may be considered.

Preferred Qualifications

Associate's Degree in relevant field

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Proficient with MS Office Suite or similar word processing, spreadsheet, presentation development program, email, and database applications.

• Ability to work with sensitive information in a confidential and diplomatic manner.

• Ability to prioritize, plan, and organize.

• Ability to work independently without constant supervision.

• Ability to adapt to change quickly.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Demonstrated experience in providing web-based content and social media related sites.

• Ability to interact with others in a professional and effective manner.

• Ability to manage multiple projects at the same time.

• Ability to anticipate and solve problems.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Ability to work with a wide range of diverse internal and external constituencies.

Shift

Business Hours: Monday - Friday

Starting Salary/Rate

Expected hiring range: $31.25 - $38.46 per hour (includes a 20% Work Location Differential)

This hiring range is provided as Rensselaer’s good faith estimate of the expected hiring range at the time of posting.
