JPMorgan Chase Asset Management - US Advisor - 529 Plan Relationship Manager and Investment Specialist - Vice President in New York, New York

As a 529 Relationship Manager and Investment Specialist within J.P. Morgan Asset Management's Global Strategic Relationship team, you will collaborate with our sales and marketing teams to develop a successful national sales strategy for our Education Savings business. You will become an expert in education savings, representing our award-winning thought leadership platform to advisors and end-clients nationwide. You will also manage our relationship with our state client, overseeing all aspects including distribution, investments, marketing, and legal matters.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop targeted sales strategy for growth of 529 plan business; serve as education savings expect and partner with J.P. Morgan Asset Management's salesforce to help broaden reach of 529 plan solutions; collaborate and strategize with key broker-dealer firms on 529 plan goals and initiatives

  • Manage day-to-day relationships with existing State partners and Plan recordkeeper; work in conjunction with investment and marketing teams to develop quarterly board presentations, annual due diligence and investment reviews and manage proposals for 529 plan solution enhancements

  • Manage 529 product/portfolio/fund updates with the State partner; oversee product workflow and execution across internal + external stakeholders; update and maintain all internal sales and business reporting through SEP and other reporting sources

  • Serve as part of team responsible for content development to position the Education Savings Team as industry thought leader; be subject matter expert to internal and external partners; support new hire training, sales desk and servicing support

  • Partner with marketing team on strategy and execution, target audiences, metrics/tracking, budget allocations; integrate and review product-specific updates across all client content and utilize industry and internal data to identify sales targets/trends

  • Support Head of Education Savings 529 Program Director in all aspects of sales, marketing, relationship management and business management; including project management of new product launches, disclosure updates and other 529 plan solution enhancements.

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance or similar

  • 10 years of asset management industry sales experience with proven sales success including strategy, execution and track record

  • Knowledge of 529 structures, rules and regulations

  • Ability to lead institutional relationships and support 529 business across investments, client service, marketing and operations

  • Ability to negotiate with distribution partner firms, state partners and recordkeeper

  • Strong presentation and public speaking skills

  • Strong writing and analytical skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

  • Series 7 and 63 licensed
