SUNY Optometry Assistant Clinic Manager in New York, New York

The Assistant Clinic Manager works with the Clinic Manager to manage all aspects of the day-to-day operations of a clinical service. This individual collaborates with the service chief, service managers, providers, and administration to facilitate growth, maximize patient access, provide high quality patient care, and support our culture to elevate the customer experience. The candidate will be responsible for coordination of services for patients, patient flow, and maintain and monitor schedules. They will be actively involved in quality assessment and improvement activities. The candidate will have extensive communication with patients and the employee team, provide oversight and direction to employees, and assist with recruitment. The successful candidate will be an effective manager who takes initiative, leads by example, and fosters a spirit of teamwork to motivate and engage employees to meet their goals and objectives. The individual will monitor and measure team performance, patient experience and access, and goal achievement. They will implement UEC and departmental policies and monitor the environment and equipment. The successful candidate must be an effective manager who takes initiative and is detail oriented with administrative experience.Required Experience:A minimum of two years healthcare experience. Demonstrates initiative and self-direction, anticipates problems, and takes appropriate action. Knowledge of managed care and other third-party payers. Excellent organizational and communication skills and exceptional customer service. Computer literacy and proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel). Exceptional customer service skills. Candidate would be required to be flexible with hours as needed and Saturday Rotation Schedule with compensated weekday off.Preferred Experience:Bachelor’s degree and supervisory experience. Knowledge of insurance verification/authorization. Knowledge of vision plans. Bilingual skills.Hours:Full-time, Monday - Friday (flexible to work some evenings)Saturday Rotation Schedule with compensated weekday offCompensation:Salary range is 50k to 56K and there is also a generous benefit package. 15 days of annual leave to start and 13 paid holidays per year.
