Standard Chartered Bank Associate Director, Corporate Sales, Americas in New York, New York

DUTIES: Develop the Bank’s relationships with corporate clients through marketing and sales of Financial Market products. Develop a productive working relationship with the clients’ key decision makers through calls, visits, and provision of relevant ideas to become a critical external resource for their decision-making process around usage of financial markets instruments. Emphasis on cross asset and cross border collaboration in order to maximize client service and returns. Execute FX and rates hedging solutions incorporating knowledge of credit charges, RoRWA optimization, funding risk, and counterparty risk. Establish ideal solutions, price and pitch risk management strategies to corporate clients on managing exposure or capturing market opportunities across FX, rates and commodities. Champion the US-ASEAN (Association of South East Asian Nations) corridor agenda to increase Financial Markets coverage for multi-national US corporates with an Asia business presence. Actively support US clients through updates on ASEAN Foreign Exchange (FX) & rates market, providing derivative solutions for risk management on hedging ASEAN market exposure as well as supporting the client business in navigating regulatory hurdles on accessing ASEAN markets. Promote SCB capabilities and franchise in ASEAN markets to US clients, including synthetic local currency financing, onshore & offshore ASEAN FX hedging capabilities, and cross-border solutions. Serve as the effective gateway for ASEAN knowledge transfer to Americas.REQTS:Must have a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Mathematics, Finance, Economics, Statistics or a related quantitative field and five (5) years of experience in the position offered or related position. Must have five (5) years of experience with: Advising corporates on risk management strategies and investment solutions in multiple asset classes, including Foreign Exchange (FC), Interest Rates, and Commodities; Providing expert guidance and showcasing best practices in highly regulated ASEAN markets (Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam) on hedging domestic FX and interest rates exposure, navigating cross-border funding solutions, synthetic local currency financing structures, onshore & offshore ASEAN FX hedging structures, local regulatory landscape, and financial market reforms; Market expertise in trading and economic updates with a focus on ASEAN to corporate clients; Product knowledge in pricing and execution of FX and Option derivatives (Forwards, Average Rage products, Option strategies, Knock-in/Knock-out Barrier structures) in G10 FX, Emerging Market FX, and Asia FX; Product knowledge in pricing and execution of Vanilla & Exotic Interest Rate derivatives (Interest Rate Swaps, Cross Currency Swaps, Caps, Floors, and T-Locks); Product knowledge in pricing and execution of Commodity derivatives (Swaps, Vanilla options, and Option strategies); Pricing models in Microsoft Excel, Bloomberg, FXAII, ICE, and 360T for derivative transactions; External regulatory policies (Dodd-Frank, EMIR Classification, MiFID, ISDA, and LEI) for derivatives execution with clients; and Local and cross-border derivative booking models, modeling of derivative credit limits utilization, understanding and calculation of credit capitals (credit valuation adjustment) & funding charges (funding valuation adjustment), credit policies, bank risk-weighted asset calculations and bank risk-return matrices. 10% domestic and international travel to meet clients, attend industry events, or visit other company locations.
