Department Overview

GTB is a key growth business within TDS that provides the opportunity to make an impact with top tier organizations. As a result, all GTB business lines continue to evolve to provide optimum trade finance, liquidity, and payment solutions to clients.

GTB is comprised of four business lines: Global Trade Finance ("GTF"), Corporate Cash Management ("CCM"), Financial Institutions ("FI"), and Export and Agency Finance ("EAF").

Job Summary

TDS has embarked on a multi-year digital transformation and expansion of GTB's product suite to position the transaction bank as a leading North American multi-currency treasury provider, enabling significant business growth across the TDS franchise. This role presents an opportunity to contribute to the build-out of the next-generation of GTB's transaction banking capabilities to (i) extend a highly successful GTB business into the US; and (ii) to future-proof the business with a platform that can evolve at minimal cost as client and industry needs & expectations continue to evolve.

This is a business analyst role with responsibility for leading business requirements throughout the lifecycle of the project and execution of delivery working with multiple transaction banking capabilities.

GTB is seeking a highly skilled Senior Business Analyst with significant business analysis experience in transaction banking and large-scale complex transformation initiatives.

Job Responsibilities

  • Facilitate collaborative sessions with multiple business stakeholders to ensure a clear understanding of needs and translate them into requirements.

  • Document business requirements in an iterative methodology leveraging Agile techniques such as journey mapping, user stories, story maps, and process mapping, using Agile tools and processes.

  • Collaborate with functional data teams, various technology groups and other stakeholders to ensure high quality delivery in line with the business requirements.

  • Prepare detailed test cases and expected results.

  • Understand internal and external data governance principles and define effective processes and controls to manage risk.

  • Build and maintain product materials, user guides, data catalogues, and training materials.

  • Champion an intelligence culture that empowers the organization to evaluate client needs, market trends, competitor movements, and determine GTB's actions & priorities.

Job Requirements

  • Relevant transaction banking experience at a large financial institution

  • Experience with large and complex datasets

  • Background of working with data governance

  • Understand high level architecture and technology such as cloud, API's, microservices, domain-driven design, data, and event modelling principles/techniques

  • Experience in Agile development methodologies and working in a large-scale initiatives

  • Strong communication skills (oral and written); able to communicate clearly and concisely

  • Excellent relationship management skills with ability to impact and influence other stakeholders

  • Thrives in fast-paced environment with strong prioritization skills

  • Results-oriented self-starter with ability to work autonomously

  • Ability to manage ambiguous or unclear situations while demonstrating delivery excellence under tight timelines

  • Deep passion to create and lead meaningful change

  • Proficient in Jira and Confluence

  • Undergraduate degree and 5+ years of relevant work experience
