Citigroup Business Lead Analyst - VP - Hybrid in New York, New York

Site Research & Analytics (SRA) team is responsible for the firm’s location strategy recommendations and evaluating location insights that will enable Citi businesses in developing actionable strategies to optimize its global presence. This role will lead and execute SRA engagements in partnership with Citi businesses and will act in the capacity as team lead to other SRA analyst.

The Business Lead Analyst is a strategic professional who stays abreast of developments within the labor and location field and contributes to directional strategy by considering their application in own job and the business. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to guide, influence and convince others, in particular colleagues in other areas as well as senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  • Directly accountable for managing labor and location research / SRA engagements and projects

  • Facilitate planning discussions with businesses to understand their location needs focused on talent, cost, risk, competition and scalability as well as understanding strategy drivers

  • Lead and conduct data analysis and market research using business requirements coupled with internal data and independent research to recommend locations

  • Complete independent research through multiple resources in order to conduct comparative analysis of locations

  • Ensure consistency and accuracy of data and insights. Synthesize data and research into management presentations, using PowerPoint and Excel to organize the findings and insight and showcase innovative data visualization techniques that enable key stakeholders to understand strategic locations better, and more efficiently

  • Day-to-day management of individual project responsibilities including milestone setting, task and actions management, co-ordination and execution of plan within required timelines and to stakeholder quality expectations.

  • Foster, collaborate, build and maintain relationships with business stakeholders, strategy partners and business peers to offer guidance on location recommendations

  • Identify key project risks, whether stated or not, and manage to resolution or escalate accordingly

  • Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision.

  • Can exercise independence of judgement and autonomy.

  • Acts as labor and location SME to senior stakeholders and /or other team members.

  • Own and manage relationships with third party research partners, including reviewing workbenches, quarterly trend meetings, and more.

  • Stay abreast on industry talent, BPO, GCC and competitor trends and intelligence and translate to strategic insights

  • Own presentation creation and data gathering for ad-hoc requests for senior stakeholders, including Monthly Operating Review reporting (MOR) and other strategic presentations

Qualifications:

  • 6-10 years experience

  • Must be extremely organized, motivated and a self-starter

  • Ability to prioritize is key as is ability to juggle several tasks at once.

  • Must work well under pressure and manage tight deadlines whilst, enthusiastic, hard-working and positive

  • Has leadership / team lead experience or the required relationship management skills to balance being a team player while influencing and guiding others.

  • Ability to lead teams, coach junior team members, and influence peers / business partners to take necessary action to achieve goals

  • Desire to improve processes

  • Advanced working knowledge of labor and location strategy including industry best practices, market trends and relevant research.

  • Track record as a Business / Strategy Analyst within the Financial Services/Investment Banking or Consulting industry

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to facilitate discussions

  • Ability to quickly grasp and master new concepts / requirements and related product / functional knowledge

  • Experience of working with Agile Methodologies and Tools

  • Willingness to ask questions, challenge the process and seek out answers

  • Ability to work independently, multi-task, and take ownership of various parts of a project or initiative

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills which include strong Excel skills, understanding of analytics, deductive reasoning and the ability to analyze large sets of data

  • Skilled at articulating a business problem and context, defining analysis objectives/plan, and providing simple and compelling business recommendations

  • Understands how to leverage different internal and external sources of data

  • Strong presentation skills. Story telling with data is essential

  • Strong PowerPoint data visualization skills

  • Communicates clearly, concisely, effectively across multiple levels globally

  • Enhance and refine presentations based on audience, messaging, and content

Education:

  • Bachelor’s/University degree, Master’s degree preferred

$142,320.00 - $213,480.00
