The Opportunity

Delaware North's Patina Restaurant Group is hiring a full-time Catering Delivery Member to join our team at State Grill and Bar in New York, New York. As a Catering Delivery Member, you will work closely with external vendors to coordinate deliveries in the Empire State Building.

This position will be working closely with State's Catering and Events Manager. This position is a delivery position within the Empire State Building to the 80+ floors that use State Delivers as the official caterer of the Empire State. All deliveries are internal of the building. This position will run deliveries to the various floors, setup the drops, and bring back whatever may be needed to be brought back. This member of our team will also maintain the Catering area, will help maintain the inventory of paper goods, along with maintaining the Private Dining Spaces.

Pay

$20.00 - $23.00 / hour

Responsibilities

• Ensure all company policies, service procedures, and safety standards are followed

• Maintain communication with the team to ensure guests receive the best quality service and experience

• Promptly address service delivery requests all within the Empire State Building

• Run deliveries to the various floors, set up the drops, and bring back any items to be returned

• Maintain the catering area and private dining spaces, including inventory of paper goods and other items

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience with similar style of dining, capacity, and volume; corporate office and catering experience preferred

• Previous customer service experience with one-on-one interactions

• Ability to communicate effectively with team members and guests

• Knowledge of portions, containers, major ingredients, and prices for all items

Physical Requirements

• Constant standing, walking, bending, reaching and repetitive motions

• Ability to maneuver between tables and around corners

• Visual acuity and hearing sufficient to take orders and prepare checks

• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds
