GENERAL FUNCTION

The Tax Manager – Transfer Pricing will focus on a balanced combination of multiple disciplines consisting of global tax planning, transfer pricing, tax technology/ automation, and tax compliance/audit support.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Global Tax planning and Transfer Pricing - North America (NA) focus

  • Analyze and document the redesign of NA transfer pricing policies and intragroup transaction flows, including preparing and updating transaction flow models based on the review of documentation and discussions with financial and operational management.

  • Prepare annual transfer pricing documentation based on centralized templates, including gathering information from internal and external sources.

  • Manage complex analysis for Advanced Pricing Agreement (APA)’s between the U.S. and foreign tax authorities, including preparing submissions to tax authorities and detailed annual transfer pricing calculations.

  • Analysis of data from internal financial reporting systems to calculate profit level indicators for transfer pricing reporting for NA entities, ensuring compliance with company policy and reconciliation to financial statements.

  • Lead the year-end review of transfer pricing by external auditors.

  • Assist with global projects related to the OECD’s BEPS initiatives (Pillar 2 / GLOBE, etc.)

  • Assist with coordinating and reviewing benchmarking studies and update of comparable data for annual transfer pricing documentation.

  • Contemplate and document proposed intragroup transactions to minimize global tax and transfer pricing risk.

Technology

  • Identify automation opportunities and coordinate the development of solutions to gain efficiencies.

  • Ability to analyze financial data from internal ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and reconcile information from database to financial statements.

  • Pull data from various financial reporting systems to summarize tax position and workpapers for tax returns.

Audits

  • Gather, coordinate, and analyze information for defense of U.S. income tax (including transfer pricing) audits.

  • Prepare correspondence for federal tax authorities in response to notices.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders such as EssilorLuxottica Tax Leadership and government tax auditors.

Other

  • Assist with documentation related to U.S. international reporting (Form 5472).

  • Provides analytical support for the preparation of the Company’s income tax provision.

  • Research various tax issues for multiple jurisdictions and disciplines.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelors in accounting or economics; Five years’ experience in public accounting or private industry with experience in transfer pricing.

  • Exposure across multiple geographical jurisdictions with understanding of transfer pricing risk assessment and audit resolution preferred.

  • Strong financial modeling skills and ability to extract and interpret data from various internal systems - proficient in MS Tools specifically Excel. Comfortable with Pivot Tables.

  • Excellent time management and organization skills

  • Excellent communication skills - verbal and written.

  • Ability to work independently but be resourceful in delivering high quality work.

  • Self-Motivated, business savvy, integrity, and team player.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master’s degree preferred.

  • Eight years’ experience in public accounting or private industry with experience in transfer pricing.

  • Experience with SAP, Oracle, Hyperion.

  • Alteryx knowledge

​Pay Range: 109,289.60 - 165,755.20

Employee pay is determined by multiple factors, including geography, experience, qualifications, skills and local minimum wage requirements. In addition, you may also be offered a competitive bonus and/or commission plan, which complements a first-class total rewards package.
