Work with Product to conceptualize and then implementing new ways of understanding the interplay between user satisfaction, track performance, and artist’s needs. Help architect self-learning systems utilizing Spotify-scale data as input. Use best practices in continuous integration and delivery. Help drive optimization, testing, and tooling to improve data quality. Collaborate with engineers, product managers, experts, and business partners. Work in cross-functional agile teams to continuously experiment, iterate, and deliver on new product objectives. *Telecommuting permitted: work may be performed within normal commuting distance from the Spotify USA, Inc. office in New York, NY.SALARY: $169,229 to $210,370 / yearWORK SCHEDULE: 9am to 5pm, 40 hours a week. (Monday - Friday)JOB REQUIREMENTS: Master's (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or in a related role. Must have three (3) years of experience with: designing, developing, scaling and operating distributed systems with high-volume heterogeneous data; data modeling, data access, and data storage techniques; Python programming; optimizing, testing, and troubleshooting data pipelines; cloud-native development and modern CI/CD practices; and software engineering including System Design, Data structures, and Algorithms. Must have two (2) years of experience with data engineering in Java and Scala programming. Employer will also accept a Bachelor's (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field and five (5) years of experience in the job offered or in a related role. Must have five (5) years of experience with: designing, developing, scaling and operating distributed systems with high-volume heterogeneous data; data modeling, data access, and data storage techniques; Python programming; optimizing, testing, and troubleshooting data pipelines; cloud-native development and modern CI/CD practices; and software engineering including System Design, Data structures, and Algorithms.
