Citigroup Finance Transformation Business Management Analyst - C11 in New York, New York

The Finance Program Group, is responsible for the successful delivery of regulatory and cross-business transformational Initiatives as part of Citi’s Transformation. This role, as a member of the Finance Transformation Business Management team will support organizational management, management reporting, communications and risk and control activities across the Finance Transformation space.

The Business Management Analyst is a developing professional role. Deals with most problems independently and has some latitude to solve complex problems. Integrates in-depth specialty area knowledge with a solid understanding of industry standards and practices. Good understanding of how the team and area integrate with others in accomplishing the objectives of the Finance functions. Applies analytical thinking and requires an attention to detail when making judgments and recommendations. Typically deals with variable issues with potentially broader business impact. Breaks down information in a systematic and communicable manner. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to exchange potentially complex/sensitive information. Quality and timeliness of service provided will affect the effectiveness of own team and other closely related teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordination of key business management activities

  • Contributes to workflow or process change and redesign, and to forms a strong basic understanding of the specific processes

  • Collects, measures, and analyzes data.

  • Identifies, tracks, and closes issues.

  • Creates project schedule management plan.

  • Ensures corrective action is taken when project schedule variances occur create project cost estimates.

  • Tracks resources, costs and identify variances.

  • Identifies quality standards and metrics relevant to the work and how to meet them.

  • Identifies risks, tracks, proposes responses and execute responses as needed.

  • Accountable for regular reporting or process administration as owner.

  • Exhibits strong basic executional and increasing project ownership capabilities.

  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications:

  • 2-5 years of relevant experience in consulting business management, project management, preferable within financial services

  • Good communication skills, verbal and written, comfortable with PowerPoint, Excel and other reporting and communication tools

  • Able to manage individual deadlines and goals.

  • Some knowledge of project management and plan development

  • Some knowledge of gathering, reporting, trend analysis and creation of performance metrics.

  • Some knowledge of risk and controls and assessment processes

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree required

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:

$78,320.00 - $109,280.00
