The Global Real Estate (GRE) team consists of more than 400 employees, executing 13,000 capital projects per year globally totaling nearly $2 billion a year in design, construction, and capital investment

Position Description:

The GRE Digital Platforms and Data team is part of the GRE Chief Operating Office function. This team are responsible for technology and data strategy, governance, platforms, digital transformation and innovation. The role reports into the Digital Platforms and Data lead in the capacity of leading system administration and support. It will be based in Jersey City, NJ / New York, NY.

As the Systems Administration and Support lead, you will oversee a core application integral in the execution of real estate projects. This involves close partnership with our external support partners in the day to day operations of the platform. Expectations are the role to expand coverage to a broader suite of GRE applications to leverage economies of scale in system support as well as identify opportunities to run more optimally. These platforms include those supporting GREs Portfolio Management, Property Management, Design & Construction and Regional/Site Services functions. An important expectation of the role will also be partnership with the Digital Platform and Data Lead to drive and steer our 'change the bank' efforts.

The success of this role will have a direct correlation to the successful execution of our real estate projects portfolio.

The ideal candidate must have strong leadership, excellent analytics skills and the ability to problem solve effectively. The candidate must also possess executive level communication and presentation skills and the ability to influence/drive change across the firm.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain system level configurations - Including internal and external security and access control, workflows and templates

  • Design efficient processes and workflows to streamline project administration and drive optimal user experience

  • Oversee segregation of duty and control requirements, protecting the integrity of GRE project records

  • Oversee and execute where applicable quality control processes maintaining the quality and validity of GRE project record data

  • Management oversight of vendor KPI's, SLA's etc. to ensure performance is meeting user expectations

  • Serve as the data quality lead, instill housekeeping rules and suggest data quality checks to improve accuracy and performance

  • Gain a detailed understanding of the end-to-end project lifecycle, serve as the internal go-to for troubleshooting and issue resolution

  • Work in partnership with the Digital Platform and Data Lead to suggest feature enhancements and 'change the bank' strategies for platforms under your ownership

  • Implement any reporting requirements where necessary for stakeholder and management visibility

  • Teamwork skills: Flexible work style, ability to work with stakeholders and colleagues at all levels and to develop, maintain and strengthen partnerships that can provide information, assistance, and support

  • Complete established validations on submission requests, prepare requests and validate updates were completed as expected

  • Identify, communicate, and resolve cross-functional dependencies and challenges. Candidate should be able to manage work independently with little supervision.

  • Through extensive knowledge of the platforms, identify areas for automation and opportunities to optimize workflows and processes

  • Engage with senior GRE stakeholders to provide executive briefings on their technology portfolio health

  • Help define the organizational framework/operating model for centralizing the functional system administration and support for GREs current (global) tech stack. Ensure framework aligns, complements, and incorporates existing CAO models, teams, and strategies

  • Leverage business, user, and stakeholder feedback to inform necessary improvements and adjustments to Real Estate technology

  • Coordinate and facilitate user training to uplift the knowledge and skills both for internal GRE colleagues as well as external vendors

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of experience, a strong academic background and experience with management/oversight of technology platforms either from an operational or technical perspective.

  • Strong organization, prioritization and decision-making skills

  • Results-oriented, strong attention to detail and ability to structure and scope complex problems and understand complex systems

  • Highly analytical with ability to collect, analyze and synthesize data from multiple sources to identify and address issues

  • Ability to learn new tools and technologies and the ability to provide user support.

  • Drive: Self-motivated and able to work well under pressure

  • Client management skills: Advanced ability to closely partner with senior and line managers and other stakeholders on projects. Given a strong fact base, candidate should be able to maintain a point of view in the face of resistance

  • Experience in the financial services industry (especially in an operations environment) and/or Real Estate industry knowledge highly desired but not essential

Base Pay/Salary

New York $130,000 - 190,000 / year
